A five-minute-effort sauce that blends creamy white beans with tuna for an iron- and protein-rich pasta babies genuinely eat.

Ingredients
- 1 can tuna in olive oil or spring water, drained
- 200g cooked cannellini beans, rinsed
- 100ml low-salt vegetable stock or water
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Squeeze of lemon
- 150g pasta shapes, cooked soft
Method
- Blend the beans with stock, olive oil and lemon until smooth and creamy.

- Stir through well-cooked pasta shapes until coated.
- Cool to warm before serving.
How to serve it by stage
6+ months
Use large shapes (fusilli, penne) coated thickly — big enough to palm; or serve the sauce as a spoonable purée.
9+ months
Smaller shapes like macaroni for pincer-grip pickup.
12+ months
Regular portions with a toddler fork; add peas or soft broccoli for extra veg.
Allergen & safety noteChoose skipjack tuna (lower mercury) and limit tuna to 1–2 servings a week. Fish is a priority allergen. Always supervise eating, serve baby upright in a high chair, and check food passes the squish test for younger babies.
